Exclusive: Splinter Cell Extraction is 100% Pinoy

You heard that right folks! A YouTube short film titled Splinter Cell Extraction was released last October 2013, and this does not only excite the video game community, but also us proud Filipinos! Before I go to details, here is the video starring a 100% Pinoy, Aris Juson!

This YouTube short film is only twelve minutes long, but every second of it will give you Hollywood quality production. More than that, all you Splinter Cell fan boys out there will be thrilled the moment “Jack” wears his night vision goggles. The iconic three glowing lights is more than enough for you to sit back and say, “Now this is Splinter Cell!”

And if some of you missed what I wrote a while ago, yep, Jack is played by none other than the Philippines very own, Aris Juson!

Maybe it is in our blood that lets us sense someone is Pinoy rather than being Hispanic or some other Asian. The moment the villain asked if Jack is Chinese or Japanese, my mind was set to checking the credits and just find out played the iconic Jack.

It read Aris Juson, and folks, the surname is Juson,so  I am 90% sure that time. A couple of research and emails later, I am more amazed the moment I had the chance to talk to him. He answered in Tagalog.

He is proud of his heritage. A good example is a show there titled The Record Keeper. He speaks Tagalog there, and his character is called, the “Mambabarang”. Now what can be more Pinoy than that?

By the time that I am writing this, I believe that nobody here in the Philippines wrote anything about Aris Juson, or his connection to Splinter Cell Extraction, which I think does not give justice to his work. We need good talents like him, and spread the word that we can also make it big time, whether via the big screen or with viral sites like YouTube.

And by the likes of how the short film ended, Jack’s adventure has just begun!

As of the time I wrote this, Splinter Cell Extraction has a total of 18,718 views in their YouTube Channel. Let’s do our part and help promote his work.
